5 Bad Habits That Are Seeping Into Your Biz (and how to fix 'em)

Have you ever noticed how we tend to run our businesses like we run our lives? We incorporate both the good and the bad. That’s true with our skills and our habits -- especially our habits.

That’s a good thing for our good habits - like checking the bank account periodically. But sometimes, it’s not such a good thing, like when you ignore your bank account for months on end. (I'm not speaking from experience or anything...)

Today I want to spend some time talking about the bad habits we have that are seeping into (and really hurting) our businesses and how to fix ‘em.

In today's episode:

  • How saying “Yes” too much and too often is sucking away all your energy
  • Why setting your expectations too high is keeping you playing small
  • How indecision and staying on the fence is actually making a choice to stand still
  • Why you need to spending time on yourself - even if it's only for a few minutes a day
  • How trying to do it all on your own and by yourself (aka - not asking for help) is driving you toward burnout fast

Today's Permission Slip:

Each episode I give you a permission slip - a reminder to give yourself permission to run your business and live your dream life on your own terms.

And today I have SIX permission slips for you - nearly one for each day. ;) Pick the one that's resonating with you right now and go with it.

For when you want to start working on your habits:

I give myself permission to notice how my habits are affecting my business.

For when you notice yourself saying "yes" too much and being pulled in too many directions:

I give myself permission to say "no" so I can start saying "yes."

For when you notice yourself being too hard on yourself and setting expectations too high:

I give myself permission to be imperfect.

For when you're afraid to make a decision:

I give myself permission to take action, even when I don't have a perfect plan.

For when you need to more time on yourself:

I give myself permission to do something because it brings me joy.

For when you are overwhelmed and trying to do it all on your own:

I give myself permission to ask for help.
